Running StackIQ Software in Amazon EC2
In addition to running on physical machines, our StackIQ products are designed to run in Amazon’s Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) environment.
We provide a push-button cloud-based solution so you can automatically spin up multiple, interconnected servers for compute-intense applications. With StackIQ, there’s no need to create clusters by hand or with 3rd-party software add-ons.
|Using StackIQ in Amazon EC2 to Solve Complex Problems
Common StackIQ use cases include data processing, analytics, genomic sequencing, financial analysis, animation rendering, imaging, electronic design automation (EDA), communications, bio-informatics, and enterprise computing. Any organization with multi-server computing needs can take advantage of Amazon EC2 running StackIQ.
Managing your Amazon EC2 with StackIQ Environment
Amazon EC2 makes it easy to start and manage your StackIQ instances. Amazon EC2 provides you with pre-configured AMIs that allow you to start running instances in minutes.
You can use the AWS Management Console to monitor your Amazon EC2 StackIQ cluster. To learn more about the AWS Management Console, please visit the AWS Management Console page. A set of command line tools (API Tools) are also available for those interested in implementing management scripts.

StackIQ also provides a modular framework for the rapid deployment of automatically configured applications in the cloud. Customers can take advantage of a packaged, end-to-end cloud stack while retaining the ability to select specific software components to meet their specific requirements via modules call “Rolls”.
Pay only for what you use. There is no minimum fee. Estimate your monthly bill using the AWS Simple Monthly Calculator. To launch an instance on EC2, please use the StackIQ Quickstart Java Application, which can be found at the top of this page.
