The open source Rocks Cluster Distribution, has been the de facto standard for building and running compute clusters for more than a decade. Rocks+ HPC is the commercial edition of Rocks that provides an end-to-end cluster operating environment to manage the Linux operating system, cluster management middleware, libraries, compilers, and monitoring tools. Rocks+ HPC includes all the software modules (called “Rolls”) you need to build a robust, state of the art cluster. It includes Rolls for OFED, Intel Developer, Moab, Univa Grid Engine, PBS Pro, Intel Cluster Ready, and more. It even supports open source Rolls including Torque and Grid Engine.
For clusters of fewer than 16 nodes, Rocks+ HPC is absolutely free*. You get all the features of Rocks+ HPC to run on your own hardware. If you have clusters with more than 16 nodes, you can purchase Rocks+ HPC, and gain access to the experts in StackIQ’s enterprise customer support team.
*You will need to purchase licenses for some of the third party add-on rolls to use them.
