Rocks+ also provides a modular framework for the rapid deployment of automatically configured applications in the cloud.  Customers can take advantage of a packaged, end-to-end cloud stack while retaining the ability to select specific software components to meet their specific requirements via modules call “Rolls”.

  • Lets customer spin up large, completely configured clusters, quickly, reliably and consistently.
  • Simplifies the management of large, connected clusters

Using Rocks+ to Solve Complex Problems

Common Rocks+ use cases include data processing, analytics, genomic sequencing, financial analysis, animation rendering, imaging, electronic design automation (EDA), communications, bio-informatics, and enterprise computing. Any organization with multi-server computing needs can take advantage of Amazon EC2 running StackIQ Rocks+.

  • New Users: If you have an application that requires multiple servers, Rocks+ instances can be leveraged to get your project started immediately, without worrying about how to configure multiple instances as a cluster.
  • Rocks Users: There are more than 10,000 Rocks users running private clusters today. Rocks+ instances enable you to expand or move your compute needs into the cloud, while retaining complete compatibility and portability with all the software you currently manage within the Rocks framework.
